Spine Week 1 Case 1

There is minor straightening of the normal lordosis. Segmentation is adequately maintained. The lowermost four mobile disc levels all demonstrate disc dehydration with only minor disc height loss at L4-5 and L5-S1.
At L2/l3-generalised posterior disc bulge abutting thecal sac with no lateral recess or foraminal nerve compression or narrowing.
At L3/l4- generalised posterior disc bulge abutting thecal sac with no lateral recess or foraminal nerve compression or narrowing. Small posterior annular fissure
At L4/l5-moderately large circumferential disc bulge with a focal posterior component compressing the thecal sac with moderate -severe canal stenosis. There is compression of both L5 nerve roots in lateral recesses, slightly more on the left with no foraminal compromise.
At l5/s1-large left paracentral disc extrusion (sub articular and foraminal), compressing and distorting the left s1 nerve root
