Spine Week 11 Case 10

• There is mild marrow oedema at the superior T8 vertebral endplate in keeping with a healing fracture. No kyphotic deformity is demonstrated.
• A subtle acute superior T6 endplate fracture with mild focal marrow oedema is also noted.
• The lumbar spine has been included in the sagittal plane only and note is made of previous L4 corpectomy cage insertion with L3-L5 instrumentation. Sagitall alignment appears preserved and no clear local tumour recurrence is demonstrated. Lumbar central canal dimensions appear capacious with no arachnoiditis demonstrated.
• Conclusion: Healed benign superior T8 vertebral endplate fracture with reduction in marrow oedema and T1w signal change. There is no significant vertebral height loss or kyphotic deformity. Acute superior T6 endplate fracture and small region of focal marrow oedema without significant height loss.
