• Idiopathic spinal cord herniation at T5, as demonstrated by anteroposterior flattening of the spinal cord to an AP diameter of 3mm, over a craniocaudal distance of 2cm. There is widening of the subarachnoid space posterior to the spinal cord at the level of the cord herniation, and the spinal cord itself is otherwise unremarkable, with no spinal cord signal change or syrinx formation. No central csf is seen at this level further supporting this. No convincing evidence of arachnoid cyst/webb formation is visible on the T2 ciss sequence.
