• There is a destructive low t1, very bright stir signal lesion seen at T8. There is chondral low signal foci in keeping with a chondrosarcoma involving the entire vertebral body and the pedicles. No convincing evidence of involvement of the spinous and transverse processes. The extraosseous component breaches the posterior wall, particularly on the left, and extends into the epidural space displacing the cord towards the right. No significant cord signal change demonstrated. At the anterior aspect, the posterior and right walls of the aorta are inseparable from the lesion. There is predominantly rim contrast enhancement of the lobular soft tissue component.
