Spine Week 13 Case 9

• Multiple fluid signal intensity foci are seen throughout the spine, and these are most prominent in the C2, C6 T3, T4, T6, L1, L2 and L4 vertebral bodies. There are also multiple lesions within the sacrum, posterior iliac bones and ribs. No pathological fracture is demonstrated, and the lesions are not resulting in any significant foraminal or spinal canal stenosis. The CT shows no lytic destructive component to any of these areas and there are no associated extraosseous soft tissue components within the spine. Note is made of similar signal intensity foci within the spleen.
• The imaging appearances are in keeping with a systemic vascular pathology such as cystic angiomatosis.
