• Marked chronic erosion of the dens is noted which is surrounded by T1-weighted intermediate SI and T2-weighted hypointense soft tissue likely due to pyrophosphate deposition disease.
• Minor spondylolisthesis is present at the C4/C5 level. All of the cervical discs are degenerate with prominent disc bulge between C3 and C6 resulting in multilevel cord compression which is most severe at C5/C6. There is a strong suspicion of myelomalacia at this level.
