The widening of the disc space at T11 and T12 with mixed erosive and sclerotic changes involving the opposing endplates are unchanged. There is severe facet joint erosive changes with sclerosis and widening of the articular surfaces and osteophyte formation causing bilateral narrowing of the neural foramina.
There is a slender spike of very sclerotic ossification possibly causing some union across the 2 vertebral bodies at the posterior aspect on the right. However, no convincing evidence of solid bone union.
The overall appearances of the Andersson lesion at T11-T12 are largely unchanged.
The typical changes of ankylosing spondylitis are noted at the other thoracic and lumbar levels included in the study. In particular, vertebral body squaring, calcification of the spinal ligaments and, apophyseal and costovertebral ankylosis.
Incidental note is made of bibasal atelectasis.
Impression: No significant interval change of the Andersson lesion at T11-T12.
