• There is a multiloculated low T1, heterogenous high T2 signal lesion arising from the left lamina of L5 also involving the superior articular process. The L5/S1 facet joint is markedly irregular with multiple small cystic spaces evident on the T2W image, but no appreciable fluid-fluid levels. The lack of septations, overt fluid levels and cystic change is more consistent with a solid variant rather than conventional ABC.
